Dr. Thomas PatavinoDr. Tom Patavino, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University. Pursuing his interest in science and health care, Dr. Patavino obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Human Nutrition and Herbal Medicine from the University of Bridgeport. He also received his fellowship and certification in acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Patavino has a strong interest and enjoys working with patients with autoimmune conditions. He is a keynote speaker on Lupus and has been published in the Journal of Alternative Medicine. Before opening Thoracic Park, Dr. Patavino practiced in an integrated practice in Fairfield County for 3 years. During that time, Dr. Patavino worked with a wide array of patients with musculoskeletal, autoimmune, sports and trauma related conditions. Dr. Patavino specializes in trigger point therapy and myofascial stress reduction. Although no health condition takes precedence over another, Dr. Patavino’s greatest reward comes from helping those who have struggled under the confides of traditional medicine. Providing relief for those who have struggled for years or been told that nothing could be done is indescribable.

Outside of practice, Dr. Patavino enjoys life with his wife and love of his life Allison and their children Gage and Abbie. He frequently lectures on alternative health care and is a regular contributor of health articles in the local publications. He coaches youth floor hockey in Prospect and serves as captain annually for team thoracic park at the Susan Komen Race for the Cure in Hartford. Dr. Patavino also enjoys trivia, music, ice hockey and baseball.
